1055 N. HIGH STREET & 330 OAK STREET CIVIL DESIGN

Project Description

These projects consisted of multiple utility designs to serve new commercial properties in downtown Columbus. Complete Water Service Plans were developed for each project. In addition, relevant design phase aspects of this project include open-cut construction, new service connections for multiple utilities including City sanitary and storm sewers, and innovative stormwater designs utilizing blue-roof detention. The resulting CC plans were reviewed and approved by multiple City of Columbus departments including DPS, DOSD and DOW, and prepared in accordance with all City standards for drawing preparation, design criteria, and CMSC specifications. The projects also included complete Maintenance of Traffic plans and SWP3 plans. Communications were critical to the success of these projects; both involving numerous area commission public presentations and zoning-related hearings. Both projects were completed on-time and on-budget; actual construction costs were approximately 94% of the Engineers Estimate. Project Owner: The Stonehenge Company.
