Portsmouth Bypass (SR 823), Portsmouth Joint Venture Group. The project is a four-lane, divided, limited-access highway bypassing the City of Portsmouth in Scioto County, Ohio. This project is comprised of 16 miles of a new highway. CCI performed Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Design for approximately 9.7 miles and 460 acres of the new roadway construction.
The SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) was closely coordinated with Post-Construction Stormwater Controls to minimize land disturbance. In many locations, Temporary Sediment Traps or Sediment Basins were located and designed to be converted to Permanent Detention Basins with only minor modifications to the Outfall Structure or minor grading to change the basin shape or size
CCI also performed 14 months of Monthly On-Site Inspection and Reporting of Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures. Monthly inspections included field verification the Sediment Controls were performing to their intended capacity. Recommendations were reported where corrections were needed.
Project Highlights: Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPPP), SWPPP Design, SWPPP Inspections.
